Green tea is a powerful anti-oxidant and naturally contains tannic acid, theobromine, and polyphenols – all of which ease and repair skin.

Green tea toner can cleanse and reduce the appearance of pores and give your skin a youthful glow.

Making green tea toner at home is an inexpensive way to enhance your skin care routine.

Here are some helpful steps to show you how to make a green tea toner.


 Steps: 
  •  Add 1 green tea bag or 2 tbsp. (30 ml) loose green tea leaves into 1 cup (236 ml) of boiling water.
  • Allow the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. 
  •  Remove the tea bag and pour the liquid into an air-tight container. If you are using loose green tea leaves, pour the tea through a strainer or coffee filter into an air tight container.You may also use a small, clean spray bottle to store this green tea toner recipe.
  • Apply your homemade green tea toner to your face and neck 2 times per day. This may be done by dipping a cotton ball into the tea and dabbing it on your skin. If you are using a spray bottle, just spritz your skin with the tea. Do not rinse. 
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to approximately 3 days.
